This years Olympics in China is shaping up to be one of the best in history in regards to talent that is presenting from all the participating countries. With this weekends USA track trials the speed is definitely there for the US to make a run at the gold. There will be some controversy that is starting to surface on various dietary supplements and bodybuilding supplements that will be looked at by the IOC. I think with all those distractions aside the athletes will come prepared to compete in a country that is starving for such great international talent and should prove to a very interesting testing ground for future events.

As I was driving yesterday afternoon I was listening to a program where they were talking about symptoms that leaded to bloating, cramps, and possible weight gain. One of the theories is that our bodies build a certain amount of toxins through foods and drinks that we consumer everyday. The thought is that if you can cleanse your system every once in a while that you can help rid your body of these various toxins which can help to lead to better digestion and possible weight loss. The mortgage industry appears to be bouncing back from it’s earlier decline as home loans are now starting to see rates level off and decline and the overall market is actually still in good shape if you look across the country for current rates. While the values of homes may still be stagnant the actual finance rates are at some very competitive rates. While the national trend is still soft, there are still lots of areas where growth is steady and the value of homes is climbing just not at the historic paces that we saw in the last 5 years. This market has forced lenders and consumers to really look at how much home they can afford and structure their home loan based on real dollars instead of inflated market prices.
Find a good deal on your home:
If you can snap up a home as cheaper loans compared to the local market are available, you may have an easier time getting financing on that property. To the lender or financial institution, it is as good as having a down payment on your home. There are some lenders who consider loan to value ratio before approving a home loan. Ask your mortgage lender if this factor can help you get qualified for your home loan.
Creative financing:
If the seller is motivated, ask if they are willing to carry back a second mortgage on the home. On approval, you can set up a contract or agreement with the seller that you agree to pay monthly payments on the property, as a second mortgage. I have noticed that eyeglasses have become more in fashion especially the squared frames. It used to be that you wore glasses as need to help improve your vision and now they seem to show some type of status symbol. The frames have become more square and much more prominent in that people want to make sure that you notice their glasses. It reminds me of the 1970’s when the oversized sunglasses were all the rage and the bigger the more in style they seemed to be. So even if you have great vision maybe adding a new pair of glasses to your wardrobe may be the missing piece.

Have you noticed that all the cell phone commercials these days are touting video, MP3, and other internet options. Now many of the companies are offering unlimited talk, text, and internet for one low price. Whatever happened to the day of making a good phone with great reception? While the technology is impressive, I think the makers of cell phones have forgotten their core product and that is a phone that you can actually talk on. Too many phones today like the popular Razr have been reported to get bad reception, and unclear communications. Maybe we will come full circle and end up with just a phone with buttons and no MyTube videos.
