The friendly skies

February 8, 2008 - 6:12 pm - Posted by Sherri R

For those looking to get into the travel industry you may want to consider flight attendant school to help you gain access to a whole new world of travel. This is a very demanding, but rewarding career that can help you see and visit places that you may have never thought possible. I was on a flight today where we were delayed over an hour and put several passengers including myself in jeopardy of missing their connections. The flight attendants were very calming and made calls to find information of connecting gates along with helping to contact the corresponding airlines to make sure they were aware of our late arrival. For many of us this was the last connecting flight out and could have meant an overnight stay had we missed our connection. Today’s flight attendant career is not like it was back in the early 80’s when more airlines were able to splurge on their customers and you generally saw more perks. With airlines trimming the costs the role of the flight attendant has become more important to the facing role with the paying customer.

I had two aunts who were flight attendants in the 1980’s and they would always talk about the locations and people that they got to meet and see. If you love to interact with people, love to travel, and love a challenge then finding a career in the travel industry as a flight attendant may be right for you. You can find more information about this rewarding career through the flight attendant blog that will provide up to date information on what it takes to fly the friendly skies.

Creating articles to increase your exposure

February 6, 2008 - 8:43 am - Posted by Sherri R

creating articles

We recently started to research new ways in which to enhance our traffic and readership here at voidclass.com. One very simple and easy way was to write articles similar to what we do here on our blog, but tailor them to a broader audience and have them submitted to various article distribution sites. What they do is publish your articles for other interested web masters to post on their sites for new and fresh content with links back to your blog or website with you as the owner. It has been a growing process but so far we have been picked up by 25 different sites in the last week. We have made the process even easier by investing in software that will allow us to submit our articles to over 160 various high ranking article sites. We will be creating some additional content as well as a resource to some PR 5,6, and 7 article sites that will help you get exposure. If you need them before our next write up on this subject, just leave us a comment and we will get back to you.

find your new used car

January 27, 2008 - 10:51 pm - Posted by Sherri R

If this holiday season you are looking for a new or used car, then LemonFree.com may be a great stop. They list both New and used cars for almost any make or model. Probably the best part is for those looking to list your used car and list it for free. Most auto sites online will allow you to list your car for free, but with a lot of limitations such as length of time posted, and only allowing 1-2 pictures.

At LemonFree, they allow you to list your car until it is sold and provide room for up to 10 pictures and unlimited text.A new free classified site called LemonFree where you can find So we decided to test it out and see what the listings actually looked like so we searched for Nissan altima. We found a nice selection, and presented us with sellers close to where we live. You will see a mixture of private sellers and auto dealers. They even link into eBay auctions, which is interesting in that now you can see the worlds largest online auction site and their selection alongside your local listings.

Protecting your name from slander

January 18, 2008 - 10:55 pm - Posted by Sherri R

New legislation that has been proposed by Senator John McCain, could hold bloggers responsible for any copyrighted material or damaging comment about a person or business that are posted on their blogs. Even in the comments section. This could make for some interesting debates on the control of free speech, and how to control this type of content on the web.

In the speed in which negative information can filter across the web, companies need to have resources in place to help manage their brand. Search engine reputation management is a critical piece to assure that those who may have an unbalanced view of your company be considered. At MatrixMT, they have the teams and tools to partner with you and your organization to monitor and handle dissemination of information on your company.

2008 tech predictions from Kevin Rose

January 1, 2008 - 3:19 am - Posted by Sherri R

It is not too often that I will find a blog and then actually write about it. I found kevinhasablogg.com as I was just wondering around the internet and came across his blog. The site is simple yet very informative like this article on 2008 Tech predictions. The author is Kevin Rose and is very active in the Digg community and has dugg some interesting articles like the one that shows you how to jailbreak your iPhone 1.1.2. It appears that every time the creative community finds a solution to let you customize your iPhone, Apple strikes back and releases an update that reverts your iPhone to it’s original condition. Happy New Year to our readers and may 2008 bring about some great new innovations that will make us all wonder how we got along without them.

Take your vacation, you earned it

January 1, 2008 - 2:39 am - Posted by Sherri R

Traveling outside of the US will require US citizens to show a valid passport. This has made some people to change their plans if they are going to some tropical destination like the Bahamas. Most people forget that Hawaii is still considered inter continental travel and does not require a passport to travel to the beautiful islands of Hawaii. I have taken my wife to Hawaii a few times and each time we stay at a different island. Our favorite island so far has been Maui. It is quite enough to get away, but yet has enough activities to keep you busy if you so desire. I would certainly recommend taking the Road to Hanna as this is a great scenic trip. The only caution is to watch out for the locals as the road narrows down to one lane in certain places. The trip to the falls will make it worth your while and can really help you forget all your troubles. You can also find some great snorkeling locations and the beaches are not as crowded as they are at The Big Island. By using the internet you find Free vacation rental listings that will give you the option to view and even list your vacation for rent.

vacation rental

Hawaii has to be the most beautiful place that I have had a chance to visit. The warm oceans, cool breeze in the evening make this a true magical paradise.We were able to stay in Maui in a vacation condo on our 10 year wedding anniversary and had a blast. Now thanks to the internet finding Free vacation condo listings was a snap and made our vacation planning much simpler than when we first were married. We walked the beaches, took the road to Hana, and went snorkeling with some large sea turtles. Our favorite part of the trip was the trip we took in a red convertible to Hana. The waterfalls and scenery were amazing. I will caution you though that the trip is made on a winding road that will actually go down to one lane. The locals go flying on this road and they will pass you, but remember that you are there to relax so just take your time and enjoy the scenery on the way. Plus there are some nice little villages on the way where you stop off and grab a refreshment and ask questions.

This year why not take a vacation to a place that you have always dreamed but thought it was out of reach. You can find popular Telluride vacation rental locations at sites like tinysurfer.com where you can list vacation rentals for free listings instead of the traditional classified listings and you can add pictures and detailed information if you are trying to rent or looking to find a location to spend that well earned vacation. The great thing about tinysurfer.com is that while there are multiple sites that list vacation rentals, they charge up to $200 per listing for you to list your property and at tinysurfer.com you can list for free. They offer property owner, vacation rental agencies to gain greater exposure for their properties for free. Most companies are putting into place the “use it or loose it policy” as it relates to vacation so you better get online and start planning for 2008.

Patio furniture that lasts

December 9, 2007 - 7:54 pm - Posted by Sherri R

Teak wood furniture

This time of year many people have put away their summer patio furniture and await until the spring to enjoy the warmth and outdoors again. We have purchased many types of patio sets and they all look great at the beginning only to have that worn down look in only a matter of a few years. This goes for the low end stuff as well as the furniture that we have paid up to $1000 for. We were recently looking at teak patio furniture that provides a more luxury feel and in our new neighborhood the old Costco specials will not look so good. The beautiful look and feel of teak wood presents such a high end look that is really cost effective when you look at the total ownership of the pieces. Plus with all the various styles you are able to mix and match and then add pieces as you go to accommodate your growing family or hosting needs.

Teak is a fine wood for outdoor furniture with a beautiful pattern, exotic scent and strong structural properties. It is a durable wood that is resistant to bugs and mildew.Teak furniture offers the durability and look for many outdoor patios.Maintenance free without paint or preservatives, natural teak patio furniture weathers to a silvery grey patina with exposure to the elements. Teak is one of the strongest,hardest, and most durable woods. Little maintenance is needed to maintain your new teak wood furniture. Using mild soap and warm water is really all that is required. You can use a teak cleaner for more stubborn stains such as wine.Many popular loungers are still made of teak because of it’s durable properties. So when it is said that the outdoor furniture manufacturer, uses teak wood exported directly from Indonesia, the expectation of purchasing beautiful, durable furniture is met. Teak Wood Furniture continue to raise the bar in producing furniture that is sophisticated and customized to their customer’s individual taste with their unique alloy and teak design. The new alloy design is made with 304 stainless steel, so rust and corrosion will never be a problem.

No doubt garden is a place for plants and flowers but now day’s every one like to have an elegant sitting plan by using multiple schemes of garden decor. While garden flags helps us to improve the overall impact of the garden. Now day’s trend of trend of having flag poles is also increasing.

When would you need a Personal injury attorney

December 3, 2007 - 3:18 pm - Posted by Sherri R

Personal Injury Lawyer

The sixth amendment of our Constitution states “In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall…have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.Some interesting facts about our judicial system. There were over 78% of felony defendants charged with a violent crime in the America’s largest counties and 63% in U.S. district courts had public defenders. About half of those with public defenders and three quarters with private lawyers were released from jail pending trial. Many people are in America are harmed due to negligence of others and do not have the knowledge to know where to start. It is important to have good representation in the event you are in need of a personal injury attorney whether you are at fault or not.

Whether you have been injured in a car accident or by a pharmaceutical product finding the right representation can be difficult. There are a lot of options and many claim to have the staff and resources to help you with your claim. Finding a personal injury attorney that will concentrate on your case with the main focus being personal injury is now at your fingertips. At Anattorneyforyou.com they provide you access to law firms across the country for free. They are not a law firm but allow the consumer to provide details of their case and then have the information submitted to various law firms for their response. This allow the consumer to then find the right law firm for their particular case. There are many factors that can lead to personal injury and neglect on the behalf of the company can be identified by your attorney. You will be able to find legal representation for personal injuries by simple typing in your zip code or you can see if there any large class action law suits that would pertain to you. Of particular interest is that of finding a Qui Tam lawyer in your particular area. Qui Tam lawsuits can be tricky and need to be handled by an expert since the person bringing the accusation usually against a company is under seal until the actual charges are made. The US Government will usually get involved at some point if there is enough evidence to bring to trial. Their website offer great resources to their potential clients whether you are in Washington or Florida.

Searching for people you know

November 17, 2007 - 1:53 am - Posted by Sherri R

I found a cool new way to search for people on the web through a company called spock. It is a free information and people search engine that is similar to any major search engine that you may use except that the main results are people. You can search by name, gender, location, favorite sports team. This would be great for those that hate the Yankees and would like to find all those that have a Yankee attribute and let them know your feelings about the A Rod deal. What is even better that this is a shared community and these tags can be created by the person or other Spock community members.

Here is an example of the types of searches that can be done. You can search by those celebrities who have been arrested for drunk driving. Since a lot of actors like Paris Hilton and Keifer Sutherland have ended up in the news lately for driving while under the influence you can also see who else joins them for this distinction. I did a quick search for steroids since the indictment of Barry Bonds and surprisingly his name was not on the tops of the list but they had Rafael Palmerio. So whether you are trying to track down your best friend or doing research on people arrested for drunk driving spock has built a community just for you.

I need an iPhone to help me blog

October 30, 2007 - 7:00 pm - Posted by Sherri R

iPhone blog

I recently went down to our local AT&T store to check out the new iPhone that has been in the news. After playing with the device I was sure that this was my next phone. I am not usually one to jump on the technology that has been just released but I must say the features and ease of use of this phone is incredible. My other question was since this is supposed to be internet friendly and we are able to watch YouTube videos how much extra were the services going to be. Luckily they have thought this part through and the iPhone has it’s own plans with unlimited web and email. The plans are comparable to their standard plans with just a few less minutes. But with their roll over minutes and the fact that everyone who I call that is on the AT&T network don’t count towards my minutes this make for a great buy.

The interior designs play very important role in achieving the comfort and lavishness of many settings. A large variety of leather dining chairs is available in market at affordable price. Now day’s people love to go for stylish dining room tables.

Find your house plans online

October 30, 2007 - 5:36 pm - Posted by Sherri R

creating online home plans

For many people the American dream is to own your own home. These days there are hundreds of neighborhoods with spec homes that all start to look alike and creates a bland look. As the suburbs become more crowded the cost of finding a home has been rising and more people are looking further out and wanting to build their home. This is especially true in the Northwest as the quality of life is great and land is still relatively cheap. If you have the time and land then building your home and picking out your own plan can be a truly rewarding experience. You can find English Cottage House Plans or Small Ranch House Plans online at sites like HousePlansandmore.com. Here you can view various plans or even create your plans. You can enter the square footage, number of rooms, and bathrooms and search the site to find the exact specifications for your dream home.

log cabin home plans

We have been looking at land near a lake by where we live and I have always wanted to build a log cabin and have this home where we can go for family gatherings and vacations. We found a multitude of Log Cabin House Plans that can be found online and the selection is amazing with some great pictures of what the plan may look like. Our rustic cabin will have 5 bedrooms and approx. 3500 square feet with a huge log fireplace in the open family room. I would love to have the stone wall that encompasses the fireplace similar to ski lodge that you would see and create an ambiance of entertainment and relaxation.

When it comes to lighting to commercial establishments, it will definitely require more elaborate approach. Most of the people like the aquarium lighting because it will not only let you see the beauty of fish and plants. Whole the led christmas lights are being used to decorate the indoor, outdoor and Christmas trees.

Internet content free speech or not

October 9, 2007 - 8:12 am - Posted by Sherri R

We saw a blurb in the WSJ (Wall Street Journal) about a San Francisco court ruling on web postings. Since this site and many other blogs create and write about others creations I thought it was very timely. In a nutshell the California State Supreme Court reversed a ruling by the appeals court that finds individuals are generally immune from liability when publishing content that was written by someone else. So what does this mean? I am by no means a legal expert and the views expressed here are just that. Any questions about your content or that of others, please consult with your own legal counsel.There is a term that is used called public domain. So the theory is that if it exists and is general knowledge can you then recreate it or publish on your site or through any other forms of communications. In the case that was in question, the plaintiff had received some information via an email, and then published the identical content on forums. This does not however give away the rights of articles that are filed and protected under copyright laws. Many authors on blogs, and websites will publish their content. But fail to protect those intellectual rights by filing with the proper bodies.
Most of the doors are universally similar in structure but door accessories like door knobs are available in large variety. The door locks are available in market in different styles and prices. While french doors are different like these doors consist of a set of different windows in the whole length of the door.

Promoting your online blog or store

June 6, 2007 - 10:45 pm - Posted by Sherri R

How to Promote your online Store!

Copyright 2005 Denise OBerry

find more at The Bernard factor

OK. So you took the leap and started your online store. But, oops, there are no customers and your store is lost in the crowd. All is not lost. You just need to be very creative in how you market your site. The key thing to remember as you market your site is “people buy from people, not companies.”

To make money online: 1) You must get traffic to your site. 2) You must convert that traffic to paying customers. To begin simply create a T-chart. Label one column “Traffic” and the other “Conversion.” Then brainstorm what methods you will use to to make those happen and turn them into an action plan.

Traffic suggestions for you:

* Pay per click
* Offline advertising
* Article marketing
* Newsletter
* Autoresponders
* Word of mouth
* Joint ventures / strategic partnerships
* Talks to groups
* Participation in online forums / discussion groups

Most online stores are extremely competitive (what’s not these days?) and they compete on price - one of the worst ways to compete. What you need to do is find a way to take the focus off the money, find your unique value and promote it from there.

So how do you do that? First you have to know who your prospect is so you can speak to them directly. Hint: Your market is not everyone or anyone. Once you know who your prospect is, you can implement tactics that will convert them into customers.

Here are some ideas that will help your conversion rate:

* Bundled products
* Free gift with purchase
* Regular newsletter
* Autoresponder course
* Helpful content on your website
* Companion blog for your website

These should get you thinking about where you need to go. This is not by any means a complete, comprehensive list — just a start. Begin by putting all of your ideas together in an action plan. Use your action plan to drive what you do every day. Spend at least one hour on these tasks per day. In no time you’ll find you’ve made a lot of progress.
