Professional athletes really do prefer the earrings over rings or necklaces; but you don’t see many of them wearing pearls. Most of your top notch athletes today will have one diamond earring in their ear and normally this is a diamond that would cost a year’s wages for most people. The diamond earrings are very trendy these days with athletes and they can determine status in their sport. I just wonder how many of them have to fight with their wives or girlfriends for these huge diamonds they wear on their ear? Diamonds are a man’s best friend, but I’m not so sure the same goes for women in the 21st century and pearls may be the new fashion or style now.

This year we will be planning and holding our 20 year class reunion. Some of the activities that we have planned is a golf tournament, family gathering and the finale will be a dinner held Saturday night. For that we are planning several games and slideshows along with music from the 80’s to dance along too. We are also planning on having some of our year books and textbooks on display to help bring back those memories of history and math that we all shared. Thanks in part to the digital age we will now be able to send everyone a digital memory book with video and pictures and capture the entire event to share at future events.

Have you ever bought a piece of exercise equipment and you knew by getting this it would make you much stronger or slimmer and you was so excited to get it? Later on you would get tired of it and it would get pushed to a corner and then moved to the basement or garage where it would begin collecting spider webs. Todays new treadmills are now equipped with Tv’s and great features to help challenge and keep you motivated for your workout. Some even come with built in competitions that you can challenge your self on how fast or far you can go in a given period of time while trying to beat others times. If you can prevent the spiders from using your exercise equipment as a home, then you must be using it some and that’s good! It’s not that big of a deal if you can’t exercise every single day or stick to a strict exercise plan. Just getting up and getting the heart rate going every now and then is better than nothing.

A few years we were presented with the opportunity to convert our 8mm and old VHS tapes to the standard DVD format. I was able to acquire the software, and hardware to start the CD DVD replication process. I found that there are several free magazines that target home based digital photographers who want to transform their pictures and movies to a digital format. What I was not told was the amount of time that this would actually take. Not only was it not as simple as putting in the old tape and then clicking convert there multiple conversion steps that had to take place in order to get the video to convert properly. To make matters more complicated there were three varieties of DVD’s available which some were compatible with current DVD players and other were not. Then there was the process of getting the video and audio to synch up which that was whole other tutorial. Needless to say I went through dozens of DVD’s and hours trying to make them work.
Thank goodness now there are professional companies who at the time we were looking to make the conversion were pretty expensive. Now that the technology has become more affordable and the medium that is used has come down in cost it makes sense for individuals and businesses to send these projects out to have them done. The typical turn around time is about 1-2 weeks depending on the size of the order and what you need done. Most of the companies will even offer DVD replication where they can master and burn thousands of disks so if you are trying to send out a training video it can be more cost effective.

As I was driving yesterday afternoon I was listening to a program where they were talking about symptoms that leaded to bloating, cramps, and possible weight gain. One of the theories is that our bodies build a certain amount of toxins through foods and drinks that we consumer everyday. With more and more homes upgrading their old TVs to the new High Definition Television sets with size ranging from 42″ to 60″ and beyond it presents a living room challenge. Where to put the TV and entertainment center so that they can co-exist in the same room without one overtaking the other. Many older entertainment centers were built to house the TV in the middle with the accessories like the DVD player, DVD’s and stereo equipment located within the cabinets. This has served it’s purpose until now when the standard HDTV is about 50″. Now consumers are trying to reconstruct their living rooms to either hang their new gadget on the wall or try and make it blend in to the room.

We made a trip to the local electronics store to check out an LCD TV. We were surprised at the number of televisions that were available for purchase. There were several different manufacturers of the LCD TV. The size of the television was also a huge decision to make. Would the size of the television fit into the space at home that currently occupies our television set? Was the size of the television set going to have a good fit into our family room, or was it going to be to big or to small? With these questions in mind, we returned home to figure out which television was right for us.

I love nature and spending time outdoors. I don’t get to do it as much as I use to but would love to go deer hunting right now or take a camping trip. With the competitive rv financing that is available you now have an option to look at getting a new RV for those family camping trips. I know the weather outside is cold and getting colder, but it can be fun camping in the winter time. It’s certainly one camping trip you will want to make sure you have enough firewood for. Camping in the winter means you stay up all night throwing wood on the fire and staying as close by as possible. It does make you appreciate the luxuries we have in our homes these days when you go camping for a few days in the woods. The food can be a nice change of pace by a campfire, but we certainly learn the value of the stove and microwave after trying to prepare a meal on the grill or from the campfire flames. If you think the family has grown too spoiled for all the luxuries in the home and you want to teach them a little lesson; just take them camping for the weekend.

This year electronics are ranking high on everyone’s lists and the competition for your dollar is heating up. Everyone is trying to catch the iPod for their share in the digital music player and sound system market. There are numerous big name players that offer MP3 player accessories to help you get the best listening experience and many are now looking at how to help you connect these devices to your home entertainment system. The once you have selected the right player how about creating a wireless surround system with your new gadgets.
Wouldn’t it be nice to create a room in your house that you could just call your music room? Perhaps you already have a room like that in your house. I guess I will have to wait for mine, but it would be fun creating one. Start with an awesome digital sound system that would be surround sound.I would also probably need to find some of that sound-proofing material and try to pad the walls with that. My music room would need to be a place where the music could be loud and we could jam without disturbing the neighbors. Please be sure to share some of your ideas for a music room. If you already have one, then let me know some things that you have chose to put in yours!

How much bigger can they get? I see some of those hotels in the major tourist cities being built bigger and bigger these days. I wonder if some of these will become their own city one day or maybe even have their own zip code. You can just look at some of those nice new york budget hotel and suites and see just how big they are getting these days. They are all competing for your dollars and they hate when a convention or big event comes to town and they fill up all their rooms. When a hotel has to turn away somebody; that is money that is lost for them. So in an effort to make as much money as possible, the hotels are being built so big, that some cities won’t have a population as big as one of these large hotels. I haven’t ever had the chance to stay in one of these really big ones; but I have stayed at some that could take-in over a thousand people.
