Mothers Day is this Sunday, May 11 so if you have not gotten her a gift then here is a great gift idea. This year we got my Mom a digital photo frame which she absolutely loves. We went to a digital camera a few years ago which was a great investment except for those parents who still love to sort through pictures of the family and kids and are not that technically inclined. I am not sure the amount of money that I spend every week at the local espresso stand, but they sure know me by name. I have looked into various espresso machines to see if this was something that I could do at home. But there is something about having different flavors and styles of coffee to choose from that presents a nice balance. Although, having our own espresso machine home would be nice for those Saturday morning breakfasts. Who knows Fathers day is just a month away and maybe I will be pleasantly surprised by my kids. Besides this way they can help make my coffee in the morning which they would love to do. Could you also get me the coconut flavoring I like also!

As Thanksgiving winds down, the search for Christmas gifts for friends and family has begun.I remember a few years ago I got my parents a personlized ornament and they still talk about it to this day. So now that our family has grown, we are going to get the grandparents a personalized ornament with the kids names.

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse starts out one of the classic Christmas stories. Originally called A Visit from St. Nicholas now we know it by The night before Christmas conjures up images of Ol’ Saint Nick with his sleigh full of reindeer whisking around the world bringing Christmas gift to all the good little boys and girls. It has become a tradition at our house as with many others to read this shortly before Christmas to our kids.
As the holidays near we pull out the Christmas lights, and ornaments to decorate the tree. We string popcorn and cranberries to put around the tree, and the kids hang there ornaments from the limbs with care. Then of course there are the gifts that fill the underneath the tree all wrapped in festive paper and bows to match. This year we will be giving to some of friends and family Christmas gift baskets some with gourmet foods, others with a selection of beers from across the country. Rogers eMall has Christmas ideas for those that have everything.It is way to provide everyone with something that they will enjoy throughout the holiday seasons and can share with their families during this Holiday Season. Trend of having fireplaces, as a part of home decoration is increasing every day. Now day’s people love to go for electric fireplace instead of gas ones. If you really want to increase the beauty of your home, so before purchasing fireplace make sure you have fireplace mantels.

I often wondered why they called it “Black Friday” Someone explained that this was the time of year that a lot of retailers actually start making a profit. It is amazing how early shoppers will get up to chase the bargains. Some shops and malls are actually opening up at idnight on the 24th to let shoppers in. Some of the deals are amazing, but you have to remember that there are only a few of those great specials to be had. My wife loves this time of year and actually maps out her quest to be more efficient. Best of luck to all in their shopping madness, and while some retailers will get in the Black, most of us consumers will only go on the Red. Happy Holidays!
