These aspects are just as important in the grand scheme of a writer’s life as are helpful discussions about which direction a long and complicated story should take. Plotting the storyline may seem important on occasion, but typically, the writer is not in control of which direction a story should or will proceed. Outlines help one stay true to a basic premise, but more often than not, outlines are a limitation rather than a helpful device. Written stories, just as verbalized ones, should proceed with details being added and characters being developed as appropriate to the story, not in some rote or uniform way.

It is in a quality writer’s group that one can learn this important concept, as well as a host of variables, whether they pertain to writing or not. Some people arrive to the group each week to merely listen and occasionally add a comment. Others show up to discuss anything at all, from books to their latest motorcycle insurance coverage, and rarely have much to add about the actual writing being shared. Just realize that everyone in a writer’s group has their own agenda. Picking out those whose agenda seems to revolve around writing is a good way to focus on people likely to give good writing advice.

Hawaii has to be the most beautiful place that I have had a chance to visit. The warm oceans, cool breeze in the evening make this a true magical paradise.We were able to stay in Maui in a vacation condo on our 10 year wedding anniversary and had a blast. Some friends that we went with explored the option of a Maui Charter Fishing company to take them out on a half day fishing trip. There are several so make sure you do your research before you go. We walked the beaches, took the road to Hana, and went snorkeling with some large sea turtles. Our favorite part of the trip was the trip we took in a red convertible to Hana. The waterfalls and scenery were amazing. I will caution you though that the trip is made on a winding road that will actually go down to one lane. The locals go flying on this road and they will pass you, but remember that you are there to relax so just take your time and enjoy the scenery on the way. Plus there are some nice little villages on the way where you stop off and grab a refreshment and ask questions.

These young players, while they are being told that they could be picked as high as the first round, should look to the future and what happens if the only play one or two seasons, they will not have finished college and have no degree to fall back on. Very few can leave early and make a successful career in the NFL. But most will not. Go Buckeyes in your quest for a National Championship. Only because I cannot stand Florida.

I just hope that this year we can continue the success and get off to a fast start. Coach Lou Pinella was brought in to make some changes, and get the team winning. He was able to take a and build a great Seattle team in the mid 1990′s and the hope that he still has some of that magic. If Kerry Woods stays healthy, and their bullpen can provide some relief the Cubs can push some of the top teams in the league.

If you are someone that likes to play billiards every now and then, your probably going to need a good pool stick. Sometimes the best stick you can get, is by not really getting a stick.
