Vacation in Mexico

I know our vacations are important to us every year. Most of us just get 1 week a year to take a break from our normal lifestyles. While many choose to live a vacation in luxury, I actually prefer standard accommodations where I can have the opportunity to do more things on vacation. There is the akumal hotels that are available in various resort towns of Mexico.I know a lot of people don’t have this philosophy because I see all the Hotels lining the streets when I go on vacation. I know some people can afford the good things in life and really want to stay some where nice. I don’t have that luxury and for me to stay in a 5 star hotel or motel, would force me to do without some other luxury on vacation. I love to eat at the really nice seafood restaurants and the ones that are right on or near the beach are the best. So for me I don’t mind staying at the hotels along the beach so I can spend my time relaxing on my vacations. What is your chose on accommodations when you plan out your vacation? Please let me know if you stay at the bargain places or is staying at a nice hotel or resort part of the vacation?
