Now I don’t watch tennis on television, but when it comes to the women’s matches, I will put down the remote control sometimes. I don’t think I’m the only one that does that either. I’m sure a lot of other men have been flicking through the channels, and see some hot chick playing tennis on tv.
Now the men don’t do a lot of fashion statements on the courts. You will see them wear a headband or something like that, to separate them from the rest of the men. Now the women go all out and try to get the best fashions on the court. It’s just like when they go shopping for normal clothes; they take their time to get the best and hottest outfits they can. The women players and what they wear on the court isn’t really talked about in the media. You may never see them modeling plus size lingerie, but you never know after they leave the sport. It’s just a battle that goes unseen for most of us, but there is just as much action in the fashion battle, as they are on the tennis courts.
Some of the stars like Daniela Hantuchova, the Williams Sisters, Ana Ivanovic, and Nicole Vaidisova are big fans of the tennis dresses. They all fill them out nicely and it gets me watching some of their tennis matches. Stella McCartney is another female tennis star that is pleasing to the eye. She even has a website where she is modeling all sorts of clothing merchandise. So while most of us see these young ladies sweating on the courts and trying to hit that little ball over the net, there is a battle of fashion that goes on behind the scenes. Even the popular sports apparel makers like Nike, Addidas, Lacoste, and Diadora are battling to have the babes of tennis wearing their merchandise.
