So having functional living room furniture that can serve as a place to socialize as well as relax can be a challenge. By that I mean what type of furniture do you place in your living room such as more formal pieces or more casual so that you can hang out and just relax. We have placed leather couches and chairs in our living room and they have held up very well while offering comfort and appeal. Many people that we know will actually move the pieces around or even have a more seasonal look to their living room which makes sense. You can even find some great discount rugs that can accent your current themes. So when you are in the Spring and Summer months you may want to have lighter colored furniture and slightly more durable since you and the kids will be in out of the home more often and typically inviting their friends over. In the fall you can have that leather sofa with darker tones and accent pieces as you spend more time indoors and are more likely to hold dinner parties.
